SOURCES AND CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA THAT WE COLLECT, PURPOSES FOR PROCESSING AND LAWFUL BASIS
HMRC collects various types of personal data about prospective customers, tenants, clients and business contacts for the following purposes: providing services; contacting and notifying those who have signed-up about upcoming campaigns; and marketing, where permitted on the basis of your consent.
Your personal data is obtained directly from you or from a company with which you are employed or associated as an officer or shareholder. You may also provide personal data to HMRC by filling out the forms. Your personal data may also be obtained from publicly available sources or through your use of the HMRC website.
As a current or potential business contact it is in HMRC’s legitimate business interest to process the following for the purposes of marketing our products or services to you: your name; contact details; information on your job role; your work address.
As a website user, HMRC may process your personal data for the following purposes on the basis of HMRC’s legitimate interests: providing services to you; responding to the sign up of one of HMRC’s services and/or opt-in to a campaign; responding to the contents of an email to any HMRC employee; internal record keeping; improvement of HMRC products / services; transmission by email of promotional materials that may be of interest to you, where you have consented to receive such material; contact for market research purposes, which may be done using email where you have consented to be contacted for this purpose. Such information may be used to customise or update the website.
HMRC’s website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers. SHARING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
HMRC does not share your personal data with third parties for the purposes of marketing and does not sell marketing lists without your permission. HMRC does share your personal data with clients, leasing agents associated with HMRC managed properties and partners in order to arrange for rental approvals and registration.
HMRC may disclose personal data to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation, or to enforce any contracts or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hunter Mcleod Realty Corp., and this may include disclosing personal data required by governmental or law enforcement authorities or a trade association of which HMRC is a member.
HMRC may also use and disclose personal information when you provide that information and with your consent.
In the event that HMRC sells, purchases, or intends to sell or purchase any business or assets, HMRC may disclose your personal information to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets. If the Hunter Mcleod Realty Corp., or substantially all of its assets, are acquired by a third party, personal data held will be one of the transferred assets.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
HMRC will keep and process your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected in connection with your relationship with HMRC, unless there is a legal right or obligation to retain the data for a longer period, or the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Hunter Mcleod Realty Corp. will keep the personal data relating to you for marketing purposes for the period that you remain on HMRC’s marketing lists.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the following rights: To object to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of direct marketing. To obtain access to your personal data – you may request information on how your personal data is handled by HMRC and request a copy of such personal data; to request HMRC to correct or update your personal data if it is inaccurate or out of date; to object to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of HMRC’s legitimate interests, unless HMRC: demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds which override your right to object, or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; to erase your personal data held by HMRC: which are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected, to the processing of which you object, or which may have been unlawfully processed by HMRC; to restrict processing by HMRC, i.e. the processing will be limited to storage only: where you oppose to deletion of your personal data and prefer restriction of processing instead, or where you object to the processing by HMRC on the basis of its legitimate interests (see para 7.1(c) above); and to transmit personal data you submitted to HMRC back to you or to another organisation in certain circumstances.
